AMG National Trust Bank unveils Chinese-inspired art
By Peter Jones
Greenwood Village’s AMG took international banking to an artistic level last week with the unveiling of “Transcending,” a commissioned work by China’s Zhou Qian.
Local business and political leaders were there April 29 as Chairman Earl Wright and wife Nancy debuted the large work in the building’s mezzanine, along with the Shanghai native who spent three months in Greenwood Village creating the wall-length mural.
“Transcending” was said to combine traditional Chinese calligraphy with contemporary abstract painting with symbolic references to AMG’s core values.
“It also represents a unique global perspective of growing international partnerships,” Wright said in his introduction before champagne glasses were toasted and everyone mingled amongst Chinese-inspired appetizers.
