theCorridor.biz and the ‘Wall Street of the West’
By Jan Wondra,
Business Editor
This is the next generation of theCorridor.biz, a business news platform focused on the Denver south corridor.
Launched by the Villager Media Group, it was created to meet the news needs of the DTC and the Denver south business community. Although there are weekly print stories, theCorridor.biz is focused online, in digital format, to match the busy schedules of on-the-go executives who often spend more time out of their offices than in them.
News in the new theCorridor.biz will be in real time. As stories are completed, they will be uploaded to this digital platform, bringing you faster news, focused on this crucial business corridor.
We live and work in what many have called Colorado’s corporate capital. Others, including the Villager Media Group of which theCorridor.biz is a part, refer to this dynamic corridor as the “Wall Street of the West.”
This compact corridor is an economic engine. Stretching from I-25 and Colorado Boulevard, south past the iconic bluffs of Lone Tree, and spreading east and west of I-25, the combined economic impact of our business corridor represents approximately 25 percent of Colorado’s earned income.
Of course, we need our own business news medium!
Early on, theCorridor.biz began to do in-depth reports, examining business categories that have a significant economic impact on the corridor. This year, we return to these categories of financial services, healthcare, education and job training, development, real estate and more.
Our goal is to provide insightful analysis and expert commentary on the powerhouse industries shaping the Denver south corridor, ranging from information technology, energy, aviation, telecommunications and cable to engineering, financial services, bioscience, healthcare, innovation and entrepreneurship, and aerospace. As new categories emerge, theCorridor.biz will explore them.
Another unique feature of this digital platform will be a new space for our business advertising partners to speak out firsthand about the issues shaping their business sectors.
First, up will be the March 2018 in-depth report on the role of the financial-services sector in the Denver south corridor.
And now—although we’re down here on the Front Range—a little moisture for our snowpack would be appreciated!
